Christian speakers are moving toward backgrounds that are very geometrical, or maybe just curtains, why?

Maybe it%26#039;s good or maybe it is bad. I don%26#039;t really know. I%26#039;ve been wondering about it lately. Even the ones that seem to be in a church, (as opposed to a stadium or somewhere that they have moved their own background onto) seem to be very plain. Mostly stairs, a choir area, plain walls and then flower arrangements. Or Joel Osteen%26#039;s stage with the big metal earth turning, then the rest is plain. Any ideas why?

Live well and do good.

FlowersBirthday FlowersSympathy FlowersWhen I was doing a lot of speaking I wanted the attention on what I was saying not on what was behind me.
Reply:Maybe they want the focus to be drawn somewhere other then, %26quot;Those drapes are pretty, or I wonder who did there flowers, they%26#039;re fantastic!%26quot;.
Reply:If it%26#039;s a permanent set and money is plentiful, they can do what they want.

If it%26#039;s a road show, the set might be a little more sparse.

It really depends on the money. that%26#039;s really it.
Reply:plain background for a plain speaker and audience. makes sense.
Reply:When the background is %26#039;busy%26#039; then you will not be paying much attention to the speaker, and hence he will not be able to practice his art of hypnosis on you. Yes you can take a course in mass hypnosis. Most preachers, and church leaders have taken or are now taking such courses. Why? So that they can 1) retain their congregations and 2) so that they can grow their congregations, and 3) so that they can bring back those that have left their congregations.
Reply:Do you mean that all that stuff block you sight to the speakers? If so, at lease there will give you a sense that the words are not spoken by a human, but by God.flower
