Glass hearts?

I am trying to find glass (looking) hearts in pink, and possible green and blue. I have seen them before, but can%26#039;t find them now. They are similar to the bags of colored round glass peices you can use in gardens, fish tanks or flower arrangements. I checked our craft store and they had none. Looked on ebay unsuccessfully. Anyone have any ideas where I could find them?

I don%26#039;t know what size you are looking for, the ones above are 30mm - $3 for 10, so can be a little pricy.

Help with purchacing wedding supplies!?

I am getting married in July and I would like to know where a good place is to buy wedding supplies. I want to save money, so my budget is tight. I would like to find a nice place to buy tropical flower arrangements and bouquets. Someone please help me, becuase I need to buy this stuff before it%26#039;s too late! Thanks!

Also, other top places are dollar stores, craft stores (i.e. Hobby Lobby, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Michael%26#039;s and Pat Catans). Try asking around on the Knot.com forums. People have used all different places to purchase items for the weddings. I know I have ordered from some places they suggested and had great results.





Places like Jo-Ann and Michael%26#039;s always have 40%-50% off coupons in the newspaper and online. So that helps you save too. I bought over 100 artificial flowers for center pieces at Pat Catan%26#039;s. I had to go to 2 or 3 stores to get all I needed, but at 65 cents and 75 cents a piece I am able to make some nice floral arrangements. At first I didn%26#039;t want artificial flowers, but after seeing some of them and the prices of live floral arrangements, I changed my mind. There are a lot of artificial flowers that look real (but keep in mind, the more real they look, the higher price they can be.) The ones I am using look nice even though they were so cheap. I am putting them in silver julep cups which I got from a wholesale place.

Reply:Go to thrift and resale shops. No one would know unless you told them.
Reply:You know how most grocery stores have a floral department, well I found getting my bouquets there was A LOT cheaper than getting them from a florist. They can order almost any flower you want.

I need a change! I have doorway beads up and funky things hanging, dried flower arrangements, but it%26#039;s still a dark room, regardless of big picture windows! I need decorative help! Color schemes? Any ideas are more than welcome :) thanks!

Any answers here may be the right answer, but CHOICE is up to you.





Brighter colors, in shades you most enjoy, textures that vary, faux finishes, sheers or verticals on the windows rather than drapes, better, or more adequate lighting.





Pastels work well, and can be mixed in varying shades without being offensive or clash too severely.





The 3 walls one and the 4th wall another color is a good suggestion.





Don%26#039;t over-do in anything. Keep the room simple enough to be comfortable. That said,,,certainly you could have a wall of books,,IE: Library style, an aquarium, move or change the furnishings so that at some point you are actually looking out the windows.





If you%26#039;re going to spend a majority of your time there, the room should be a calm place, an inviting place, though it need not be old timey cozy.





In the end, sugegsting colors to you:





Go to a home store, paint store, check out decorationg mags,,, even at a grocery market for ideas that are current, or traditional. Your choices will depend on what is already in your frame of referrence as to what you most enjoy.

Reply:Paint tip - Choose a color u like the most, and try to choose a cool color.. then, choose a lighter shade and a slight darker shade of the same color and get 3 walls painted with the lighter one and the 4th wall with the darker one.





Decoratives - hang lots of wind-chimes of the roof whr u hv a subsequent amount of vantilation.


Also, try to get the li%26#039;ll LEDs/tiny bulbs emitting silver/white light and stick %26#039;em up the roof high enough.





In the night when u shut all the lights off and turn on just these.. u%26#039;ll be amazed how it makes u feel under a completely star-studded sky but still comfortable, cozy and safe enough in your room!

All I would say is sexuality isn%26#039;t black and white it is a whole spectrum of colours and the stereotypical characteristics of sexuality no longer really seem to matter. The main thing is the you are getting what you want out of a relationship. if you%26#039;re not then pack up and get out! How do I dry sunflowers to use in a wreath?

I am growing sunflowers and would like to use them in flower arrangements, but specifically in a wreath. How do I dry them to keep their color, shape, etc.


Last year I tryed to dry them by cutting them off the stem and setting them in a shallow box in a warm climate. They molded.

Reply:You might try setting them in a desiccant such as silica to dry. It takes awhile but is least likely to cause petal loss.





For seeds I hang my sunflower heads upside down in a dry place with good airflow.





I have also heard of places that will freeze-dry flowers for you. Not sure it would be worth it unless it was a bridal bouquet or you had a group-rate. To try this at home, fill an ice chest 1/2 way with dry ice. Set one sunflower head in a metal mixing bowl large enough to contain it. Close lid and wait. I have not tested this, but think 1/2 hour might be a good place to start. After freezing spray liberally with hair spray and hang upside down in a well-ventilated area free from moisture and humidity for one week. You might need to spray metal bowl with Pam first to avoid sticking.

Reply:hang them up side down from a ceiling but not in the kitchen where there is humidity . they make not keep all there brightness but they will work . don%26#039;t keep them in water once picked as they will soak it all up and take longer to dry and might go mouldy .
